Cultivating Awareness, Transforming Lives
Our mission is to make authentic mindfulness practice accessible to every person in Aotearoa, fostering a community where inner peace meets outer purpose.
Return HomeOur Story: Eight Years of Mindful Growth
Founded in Wellington in early 2017, Micronuclei emerged from a simple yet profound vision: to bridge the gap between ancient contemplative wisdom and modern life in New Zealand. Our founders, inspired by the country's natural serenity and the indigenous values of balance and harmony, recognized the growing need for authentic mindfulness education in our fast-paced world.
What began as intimate meditation circles in local community centers has evolved into New Zealand's most trusted provider of evidence-based mindfulness education. Since July 2017, we have guided over 500 individuals through transformative practice journeys, establishing partnerships with leading corporations and wellness organizations across both islands.
Our approach honors the rich tradition of contemplative practice while integrating cutting-edge research from neuroscience and positive psychology. We believe that mindfulness is not merely a technique, but a way of being that naturally unfolds when we create the right conditions for awareness to flourish.
"True transformation happens not through force, but through the gentle cultivation of awareness and compassion in each moment."

Our expertise spans multiple contemplative traditions, contemporary psychological research, and the unique cultural landscape of New Zealand.
We believe that mindfulness education should honor both the profound depth of ancient wisdom and the practical needs of modern life. Our programs integrate time-tested meditation practices with evidence-based approaches from neuroscience, positive psychology, and trauma-informed care. This synthesis creates learning experiences that are both scientifically rigorous and spiritually nourishing.
Our commitment to excellence extends beyond our teaching methodology to encompass every aspect of the participant experience. From our initial consultation process through ongoing community support, we maintain the highest standards of professional competence, ethical practice, and cultural sensitivity. We recognize that each person's journey toward greater awareness is unique, and we tailor our guidance accordingly.
As thought leaders in New Zealand's contemplative education landscape, we continue to pioneer innovative approaches that make authentic mindfulness practice accessible, relevant, and transformative for people from all walks of life.
